    CCDDP Summer 2023 Update
  • Over the winter, the Canadian Census Data Discovery Partnership’s (CCDDP) User Needs Working Group continued to consult with the census data producers and users to inform the vision for the CCDDP portal’s infrastructure, and data collection has concluded for the census data community (stakeholder) survey and the end user community survey. Qualitative coding for the stakeholder survey occurred in February, and the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data is ongoing. Responses from the end-user survey were received in April, and those data are currently being prepared for analysis. Read more...

    CCDDP Winter 2023 Update
  • Over the winter, the Canadian Census Data Discovery Partnership’s (CCDDP) working groups have been working together towards our project deliverables. Firstly, the User Needs Working Group has continued to consult with the census data producers and users to inform the vision for the CCDDP portal’s infrastructure. Much of their work now is moving towards synthesizing the research they have been conducting. Secondly, the Inventory Working group is close to completing their work with 119/140 censuses inventoried. Lastly, a developer has been hired to develop a proof of concept for the portal, to be available later in 2023. Read more...

    CCDDP Fall 2022 Update
  • As the project moves into the second year of the SSHRC Partnership Development Grant (PDG), work will continue focusing on completing the Census inventory, as well as beginning to carry out pre-user testing of existing census data portals. This user testing builds on work completed in year one of ranking data discovery and related features of existing Canadian census data discovery tools. The project is also beginning to explore potential platforms and technologies for the envisioned discovery portal. Read more...

  • The Canadian Census Data Discovery Partnership (CCDDP) is pleased to officially announce the commitment of Library and Archives Canada as a Project Partner. Library and Archives Canada becomes the seventh project partner.
